My girls, nowadays it is so fast and convenient to communicate with other people even if they are on the other side of the world. Thanks to our modern and advanced technology. Because of this, our relationship with family and friends grow deeper and our work becomes easier. Around 20 years ago, you do not hear Facebook and Twitter. Now, it seems that everybody who knows how to use the computer have an account in these social networking sites.

Having accounts in different social networking sites is okay if we are responsible enough in what we post. Remember, we have social responsibility to our friends whom we gave access to view our pages. We have to be careful in what we post because once you have posted something, it can circulate immediately in the worldwide web and that becomes permanent, even if you wish to take it back later on.

What are the things that we have to thoroughly think first before hitting the “send” button?

Words – are the words I’m going to post is malicious? Will these words destroy a person’s or a group of person’s reputation? It is better to use words that will let others think of you with high regard. Use words you think can uplift your visitor’s mood when they visit your page.

Picture – make sure that the picture you’re going to post is yours or was taken by you. For sure, you would not like it either if you learn that somebody has taken your picture and upload it in the web. Most importantly, do not post nude pictures. Instead, post pictures that will show a happy you, happy family, happy friends, or other pictures that show only of positive things.

It is also wise to choose the information we are going to make public in our social networking accounts. Many unscrupulous minds hack the accounts of other people for their own criminal agenda.

Let us make use of our modern technology to spread beautiful and good things only for these are the very things that the next generation after us will also see.
